super speed.
A passive ability. Scale this like you would a Pokemon's buff, I guess? At rank A, he is fast as fuck (baby) and also at +5
boost.
with some concentration, he can momentarily boost his speed. This power causes a blue streak of light to trail behind him when it's active. At Rank D, it lasts 3 seconds.
dash ring.
Using his weapon as the medium, he can now set up a Dash Ring for himself! At rank D, Sonic can trigger the dash effect up to 3 times, sending him flying. However, other people still can't use the ability.
cyloop.
Borrowing from Frontiers, it's an extension to his boost ability. Using the light trail he leaves behind, he can momentarily stun or knock enemies up into the air or provide minor buffs to himself. At rank E, it can momentarily stun small/medium sized enemies but only small enemies can be thrown up in the air.
ONE WAY DREAM.
It's just him going Super. Like, what else am I going to call it? At rank D, boosts his speed/power and grants his normal attacks a purifying effect. Rank C, the purifying effect increases so that it deals a small damage overtime in a small vicinity around him while this ability is active. And he can fly, of course!
background
- He nearly drowned as a kid. He’s not quite hydrophobic, but he avoids bodies of water on principle. Mostly, Nikki hates how water restricts movement, weighing him down and so forth
- Mom's an artist, they travel a lot because she goes around doing exhibits and the like. Sonic follows along as an assistant and is largely home schooled. Dad is largely missing from the picture but they keep getting money so the school yard rumour used to be that his Dad has Mafia/Mob/Yakuza ties and that’s how he and Mom are doing okay financially. Good luck trying to get any one in the family to confirm or deny these claims.
- Awakened pretty early in life! It wasn’t a Nightmare attack though, but rather a strong feeling of adventure and desire for freedom
- While he loves to run around, because of the dream he had when he awakened, Nikki/Sonic has a strong affinity for trains. In particular, he has the rather romantic notion of associating the spirit of adventure specifically with trains (you can go farther and wherever with flying, but you see more on trains! etc.). Doodles of trains - sometimes with wings - can be found throughout his notebooks
- He is homeschooled! He was originally enrolled but after the second international move, his mother made the executive decision to have him be homeschooled for the sake of consistency. Nikki would be a half-way decent student if he buckled down and did his schoolwork but nah
- He has quite a bit of experience traversing the Dream Sphere and is comfortable both awake and asleep. But he’s too much of a free spirit and scatterbrain to actually remember to sign up with the DU. Good luck getting him to submit reports even if you strong arm him into joining!!
- He picked up Parkour/Freerunning a few years ago, completely separate from his escapades in the Dream Sphere. But hey, it works both awake and asleep! He may have tried - once - to go from point A to point B in the real world via Dream Sphere and was immensely disappointed he just
respawnedwoke up in his bed. - Mom got a studio in Yumemigaoka! They’re moving back to Japan to hang out for who knows how long, but they’re here again!
- Yes, his favourite food continues to be chili dogs.
